Here at Training Qualifications UK, we like to make sure you’re kept aware of all the most important goings-on in the world of End-Point Assessment. With that in mind, this week we provide updates on dispensations for Hospitality standards, our Assessment Records and Gateway Meeting Records and a survey about Healthcare Assistant Practitioner.
Hospitality Dispensations Verve
Following the latest dispensations release from People 1st, we are pleased to confirm that we have some further available resources on our Verve EPA Suite for you to access.
Our COVID delivery document, now Live on Verve EPA, contains the Competency Framework adaptation for the Hospitality Supervisor standard.
This now means that the Hospitality Team Member, Hospitality Supervisor and Commis Chef standards all have updated resources available on Verve EPA.
We are working hard to prepare and release further guidance documents to aid with the latest dispensation announcement. Further updates will follow soon.
Our new Assessment Records are underway
As per our previous update, we are updating and streamlining our Assessment Records.
We are working hard behind the scenes to ensure we supply you and your Apprentices with qualitative and concise feedback, as well as ensuring that the justification of the overall grading is clear and supportive.
Our production team is working full steam ahead and we are delighted to confirm that the first batch of Assessment Records set for release this month are:
- Early Years Educator
- Hair Professional
- Teaching Assistant
- Team Leader / Supervisor v2
We will, of course, update all our centres of any and all release dates via these weekly blogs.
Gateway Meeting Records
We would like to offer a reminder that our new Gateway Meeting records are Live and must be used for all Gateway submissions. Our new documents are more streamlined and user-friendly to support a smooth Gateway process for all.
Our new Gateway meeting records incorporate MCQ booking details, so there is no requirement to use the additional Assessment Preference documents that were previously a Gateway requirement.

Healthcare Assistant Practitioner Survey
The Healthcare Assistant Practitioner Apprenticeship Standard is now due for revision and the Trailblazer is pleased to announce that a survey has been set up to allow you to comment on the changes.
The presentation of the standard has changed to align to the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education’s current guidelines.
To give maximum opportunity for everyone to contribute, the consultation is available as an online survey here. The consultation opened on Tuesday 9th February 2021 and will close at 12 pm on 31st March 2021.
The Trailblazer group will review your feedback and make appropriate amendments to the draft standard. The standard will then be submitted to the Institute for Apprenticeships to seek approval.
Hair Professional Standard
We would like to offer a reminder that the Hair Professional Standard will be going Live again as of Wednesday 14th April.
Our End-Point Assessors will be reaching out to all Apprentices that have already been submitted through Gateway to reschedule any bookings that were previously put on hold due to the latest COVID-19 restrictions. This will be prioritised by Gateway date.
Again, onsite declaration forms will be required for all assessments from 14th April.
