In today’s update, we’re reminding you about the importance of updating and maintaining the workplace addresses for your Apprentices on EPA Pro.
EPA Pro System
Each Apprentice record has a section dedicated to the workplace details which need to be kept up to date throughout the Apprentice journey. In the event of a change of Employer, or a different address needing to be used for assessment, we will require this information to be updated as soon as possible. This is important to us as it is used in our forecasting data to inform our recruitment process and caseload capacities.
We understand that some assessments may be required to take place at a different location than the workplace details listed on the Apprentice profile. To ensure we have the most accurate address for assessment, we ask for this to be given on the Gateway Meeting Record.
Gateway Meeting Record
All of our Gateway Meeting Records include an Assessment Preference section which must be completed in full. This section outlines all components required for the particular Standard and asks for further information on the Apprentices preference for assessment. Some Standards will offer the option to choose remote or face-to-face assessments, whereas some will require face-to-face assessments only, as per the Assessment Plan.
In the case of face-to-face assessments, we require an address for where the assessment will take place to be listed on the Gateway Meeting Record before we are able to approve this through Gateway. If an address has not been provided, the Gateway will be rejected.
Standard Specific Reminders
Learning and Skills Teacher, Learning Mentor and Assessor/Coach
For the above Coaching Standards, remote delivery of assessments can only be requested if an Apprentice delivers coaching sessions remotely within their role. We will be unable to complete a remote assessment of a face-to-face session with learners.
Children, Young People, and Families Manager
When requesting the date of the Situational Judgement Test, please allow for 10 working days from Gateway submission. This will ensure an Assessment Planning Meeting can take place before the test to better support the Apprentice.
Business Generics MCQs
When requesting the date of the MCQ for any Business Generics Standard, please allow 5 working days from Gateway submission. This will offer a greater opportunity for an Assessment Planning Meeting to occur prior to the test to further support the Apprentice.
