Here at Training Qualifications UK, we like to make sure you’re kept aware of all the most important goings-on in the world of End-Point Assessment. With that in mind, this week we look at recent flexibilities announced by the IfATE and our Verve support documents.
IfATE Announcement- EPA during COVID-19 – flexibilities
As you may be aware, on the 5th November 2020, The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education announced that the flexibilities and discretions currently in place to support EPA during COVID-19 will now remain operational until at least the end of March 2021.
The decision to extend these flexibilities will allow for End-Point Assessment to continue even during lockdown. Full details of the announcement can be found here.
As always, our COVID delivery documents, which detail all approved remote assessment options per standard, are available to view on Verve EPA.
Should you require any support in regard to this update, please feel free to contact the EPA Team at epa@tquk.org. A member of the team will be more than happy to support you and offer further guidance.
We continue to follow the Government guidance and, as always, are committed to keeping all our Centres updated as we move forward.
Joint Statement: Hair and Beauty Apprenticeship Standards, November 2020
Following on from our previous update relating to our Hair Professional Standard, we’ve issued a joint statement alongside City & Guilds and VTCT about End-Point Assessment within the Hairdressing, Barbering and Beauty Therapy Services sector. It can be viewed here.
Support Documents available on Verve EPA
We aim to always make sure that our Centres are updated as and when our support documents are amended. To that effect, and for ease, we ask that all live documentation and support materials are always downloaded directly from Verve EPA. This will ensure you always have access to best practice and guarantee the most up to date and accurate versions are in use at all times.
Gateways Maintenance, Contact Details on Verve EPA
We pride ourselves on our customer service delivery. Therefore, to ensure End-Point Assessment continues to run as smoothly as possible for all parties, we kindly ask that our Verve EPA system is kept up to date with all relevant and key contact information.
Once an Apprentice has successfully passed through Gateway, our End-Point Assessors will make contact with the named Apprentice within 3 working days of allocation acceptance (5 working days from successfully being accepted through Gateway). This allows Assessors to formally introduce themselves and to arrange a suitable date and time to conduct the Assessment Planning Meeting.
Please make sure the correct contact information for all relevant parties is fully up to date at Gateway so the process can run smoothly and efficiently for all.
As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact the team at epa@tquk.org.
