Here at Training Qualifications UK, we like to make sure you’re kept aware of all the most important goings-on in the world of End-Point Assessment. With that in mind, this week we look at how the latest government guidelines impact the Hair Professional standard and offer an update on Operations Departmental Manager.

Tier 4 lockdown restrictions
In response to the latest government guidance, all face to face assessments in tier 4 locations will, unfortunately, be placed on hold until further notice.

This, unfortunately, means that for the Hair Professional Standard, all assessments within Tier 4 locations will not be able to go ahead until further government guidance has been released.

For all other standards, please refer to our COVID-19 Assessment delivery guidance documents. Our guidance documents highlight all remote options, and are available to view and download on our VERVE EPA Suite.

We appreciate that the latest Government update may impact some already-booked assessments, depending on locations or the impact on our Assessors being able to travel to certain areas. However, we are committed to providing a supportive service and our End-Point Assessors will be reaching out to all applicable Apprentices.

Therefore, if you have any questions in relation to the latest guidance, please feel free to contact us at epa@tquk.org and a member of the team will be happy to support.

The latest Government guidance, including a full list of local restrictions by area, can be seen here.

Operations Departmental Manager Version 1
A new Professional Discussion Apprentice Brief for our Operations Departmental Manager standard has been produced and is available to view and download on our VERVE EPA Suite.

Please note, this document relates to the existing Version 1 of the assessment plan, rather than the new version of the assessment plan, where materials are still in development.

A timeline of release for support materials for version 2 of this Standard will be communicated in the New Year. This update will also include access to refreshed process training and dates for when End-Point Assessment for this version will commence.

Safety will remain at the heart of all we do as we continue to follow the latest Government guidance, and as always, we are committed to keeping all our Centres updated as we move forward.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and very Merry Christmas.
