Welcome to this month’s EPA Product Newsletter!

It’s officially spring, and we’ve already done some spring cleaning here on the Product Development Team by tidying up EPA Pro. We’ve also made amends to some documents, which are detailed below.

Renaming Resources on EPA Pro

Recently, we finished renaming all of our resources on EPA Pro and providing standardised descriptions for each. This is so that documents can be found much more efficiently and to enable you to see, at a glance, the purpose of each paper.

Changes and Updates to Existing Documents

Digital Marketer

The Attendance Register and Invigilation Report for this Standard have been replaced with the Synoptic Report Invigilation Disclaimer, which requires both the Apprentice’s and Invigilator’s signatures to confirm the Synoptic Project has taken place in a controlled environment. This document must be submitted together with the completed Project.

The Employer Brief document has been removed from EPA Pro, and its information has been added to the Apprentice Pack. In addition, a link to the Synoptic Report Invigilation Disclaimer has also been added.

Customer Service Practitioner

This Apprentice Pack has been updated to include additional information relating to the Professional Discussion. It highlights that the Apprentice may create a Portfolio of Evidence from their On-Programme evidence to support the key areas. However, this is not a mandatory requirement, and the End-Point Assessor will not directly assess the evidence.

Learning and Development Consultant/Business Partner and Learning and Development Practitioner Standards

Clarifications have been made to the Apprentice Packs for both of these Standards. These are as follows:

The assessment methods are to be completed in a specific order. For example, the Work-Based Project with the Professional Discussion will be completed first, and the Presentation and Q&A will be completed after this.

The word count for the Project has a variance of 10%. Any Projects below the lower threshold will be graded as a fail, and any words after this limit will not be marked and will therefore not contribute to the Apprentice’s grade. More details can be found in the relevant standard’s Apprentice Pack.

All changes listed have a corresponding Summary of Change document on EPA Pro. Therefore, please delete any local copies of the documents mentioned and use the new documents provided on EPAPro.
